The problem
Companies are rapidly adopting AI, but IT teams struggle to answer questions like:
Which AI tools are employees using?
Which actions should be blocked?
Which actions should be blocked?
How do we enable AI without sacrificing security?
Most existing admin tools were fragmented, difficult to navigate, and optimized for security professionals and not everyday IT administrators.
My role
I designed the end-to-end IT admin experience, collaborating directly with the founders and engineers to define product direction while iterating based on customer feedback.
My work included:
Designing for enterprise complexity
Challenge 1: Making security controls approachable
IT admins need access to dozens of policies, permissions, certifications, and integrations without feeling overwhelmed.
Solution
I organized features around administrators' primary workflows instead of backend system architecture, reducing cognitive load and helping new customers understand where to begin.





Challenge 2: Helping new administrators succeed immediately
Early users often connected Keyboard successfully but weren't sure what to do next.
Solution
Instead of relying on lengthy documentation, I designed a contextual onboarding experience consisting of:



Challenge 3: Surfacing risk without creating alarm fatigue
Security dashboards often overwhelm users with endless alerts.
Solution
I redesigned flagged actions to:
Clearly explain why actions were blocked
Expose associated policies
Allow acknowledgement and cleanup


Impact
Designed the product from its earliest MVP through enterprise expansion
Helped shape product direction alongside the founding team
Created reusable design patterns adopted across the application
Reduced onboarding friction through guided setup and contextual education
